AEROSOL SYMBOLS

 

Below are some of the symbols you might find on an Aerosol Spray can:

 

Does exactly what it says on the tin!
   
Flames
Flamable.
   
Flames with a small 'F +'
Extremely Flamable.
   

St Andrew's Cross
Harmful.

   
St Andrew's Cross with a small 'i'
Irritant.
   
EASY ON THE OZONE LAYER
It is used on aerosols that have been formulated with a propellant that is not harmful to the environment.
   
TRIANGLE
A raised triangle on the label is a tactile warning for blind people indicating that the material may have some risk.
   
MOBIUS LOOP SYMBOL - RECYCLABLE MATERIAL
This symbol indicates that the packing material can be recycled and that the manufacturer adheres to the rules governing the use of this symbol.
   
GREEN DOT OR POINT SYMBOL
This symbol indicates that the packing material can be recycled and that the manufacturer adheres to the rules governing the use of this symbol.
   
REVERSE EPSILON
Only used for aerosols to prove that the product complies with EU legislation.
